Adam was a busy and successful art director & props buyer for some of the UK's most-loved television programmes. Many a long day [and night] was spent in busy film and TV studios dressing sets and sourcing the perfect props.

 

In 2021, he decided it was time to leave the bright lights of the London media scene and redirect his skills.

 

Cook & Butler opened its doors in September 2022.  Tucked away from the bustle of the high street, it's a vibrant hub where sustainability meets style.  From thoughtfully crafted products to eco-friendly essentials, every item on our shelves reflects Adam’s commitment to nurturing a greener lifestyle.

 

Adam lives in a small village outside Berkhamsted with his partner, his dog, Holly, and a few chickens that occasionally grace them with an egg. When he’s not in the shop, Adam can be found caring for his numerous roses or tending to his kitchen garden, often under the watchful gaze of the friendly cows over the garden fence.
